Ladies Ministry

The Ladies Ministry of Park Place Baptist Church meets each month on the last Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall (except in December) to have a pot luck dinner and a devotional, along with working on a current Missions project.

                                        All ladies are invited.

COMING UP:   Stay Tuned ...

Ministries sponsored by the Ladies Ministry at Park Place Baptist Church:

“Hatitude” – Collecting and decorating “hats” for young girls who are cancer patients at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. We begin collecting in late summer and typically deliver the hats in the fall. Many of the hats collected are decorated during one of our monthly meetings.

Georgia Baptist Children’s Home – throughout the year we are active in collecting needed items for the girls of the Arnold Cottage – presently there are 6 girls in the cottage ranging from ages 6 – 18. We help provide monies to purchase the girls Easter outfits, collect school supplies for “back to school” and our biggest project is providing Christmas for all the girls in the cottage. The girls fill out a “wish list” in early November and the ladies in our church “adopt” a child to buy for, purchasing all the items on the wish list as well as many additional gifts. What a joy it is to deliver the gifts and watch their faces “light up”.

Project Renewal – Providing clothes and supplies to this locally operated shelter for victims of domestic violence serving Rockdale, Newton and Walton counties. At least once a year we collect needed personal items as well as clothing and household items to be given to the women in this shelter.

Dolls of Hope – we are currently helping with the sewing and stuffing of Dolls of Hope at our monthly meetings, averaging about 12-14 dolls per evening. The Dolls are then given to local hospitals for use in the pediactric units.

Alaska Missions – we recently helped package items for the Alaska missions project to assist in the ministry to the wives of the soldiers, along with local church information to help them become familiar with Calvary Baptist Church, located just outside the gates of the military base.
